Pleasant Lake Outlet Control Structure Closed

September 6th, 2016: Annandale, Minn. – The water level at the Grass Lake Dam on Clearwater / Grass Lakes surpassed 4.04 feet on the Grass Lake Dam Staff Gauge on September 4th, 2016. Per the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources' permit for the operation of the Pleasant Lake Outlet Control Structure, the outlet was closed at 6:45pm on on the 4th. Residents on Pleasant Lake can expect water levels to rise due to the closing of the outlet. However, the lake will begin to outlet once the lake level reaches the level of the Minnesota Department of Transportation culvert under State Highway 24 on the NE corner of the lake. The Clearwater River Watershed District will continue to monitor water levels at the Grass Lake Dam; once water levels are below 4.04 feet, the Pleasant Lake Outlet Control Structure will be opened.

Please feel free to contact the District office if you have any further questions on this matter.
