 Work Session - Kimball City Hall

Manager Brunsell called the CRWD Work Session to order at 7:00pm. Managerís Brunsell, Kampa, Froyen, Risberg, and Schiefelbein were present. Also in attendance were Assistant Administrator Loewen and Administrator Anderson. 

Motion #WS10-05-1: Motion Kampa, seconded by Risberg to adopt the Agenda. All Managers voted aye. 

Assistant Administrator Loewen indicated that the audit would be presented at our next Work Session.  

Administrator Anderson mentioned that Cory Meierhofer has not responded to suggested changes in the easement concerning the v-notch weir on his property. 

Assistant Administrator Loewen indicated that the Conservation Corps MN Account Number is 221-42501. The account number for Total Maximum Daily Load Implementation is 240-41148. He also mentioned that he would attend the Stearns County Planning Commission meeting, as they will consider a one-year extension on Lake Louisa Hills final plat approval. The CRWD Wastewater Task Force will report at the June 2010 Work Session. CRWD funding for successful grant applications could be spread over a five-year period.  

Motion #WS-10-05-2: Motion Schiefelbein, seconded by Risberg to authorize managerís and staff attendance at the Minnesota Association of Watershed Districts Summer Tour and Water Summit. All Managers voted aye

Motion #WS-10-05-3: Motion Schiefelbein, seconded by Kampa to pay bills. All Managers voted aye

Manager Kampa reported that the Department of Natural Resources has given him permission to do a silt removal demonstration on Lake Augusta Channel West next week. 

Manager Risberg pointed out an article in the May 20th edition of the Star Tribune about the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District having a headquarters overlooking Minnehaha Creek. 

Manager Schiefelbein brought up that Dennis Libbesmeier is planning to outlet tile water into the isolation ditch around the Watkins Wetland North. That is the proper outlet. 

Motion #WS-10-05-4: Motion Schiefelbein, seconded by Froyen to authorize lakescaping incentive to Larry Green. All Managers voted aye

Administrator Anderson reviewed with the managerís the next step of the Loewen/Anderson administration transition. That transition will be budget neutral with Andersonís salary reduced and Loewenís increased by an equal amount. 

Motion #WS-10-05-5: Motion Schiefelbein, seconded by Kampa to adjourn the meeting. All Managers voted aye.
